Hi, I am Heather. Welcome to my blog. This site is an incoherent recording of my life as Peace Corps Volunteer, journalist and human being. This blog is my way to share my story with anyone willing to listen. Some posts are sad, some are happy. That is life. It’s called ‘a story’ because I love to tell stories. I like South Dakota, running, writing, food, friends and family. Thanks for reading.

Hi Heather,
my name is Kareen and I am a current Peace Corps volunteer serving in Cameroon. I am trying to get in touch with other PC volunteers like you who are currently living in Niger to get some ideas and advice about traveling in Niger. I heard that the month of December is the best time to go because of the cooler weather. Another friend volunteer and I have our hearts set on experiencing the Sahara desert, riding camels and meeting nomads. Is it really like this? Or are we just uninformed. my email address should be listed on here, any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks:)
Hi Kareen, my name is Julius Amin, and I am doing a study on Peace Corps in Cameroon. I’ll like to contact you for interviews about your service there. Can you provide your contact information. Thanks very much.
Julius Amin
Hi Heather, What part of SD are you from? I so wish I had joined the Peace Corps long ago. But I’ve had a blast in life too, did get to go to Africa, Russia and Bulgaria helping out in different ways. Your blog is cool.
